Caesar Loses the Battle

Caesar lost his battle with cancer this evening.  Secondary tumours had apparently developed over the last few weeks and he collapsed at supper time from a bleed.

I had been so hopeful to have at least 9 months with him after his diagnosis of hemangiosarcoma but it wasn’t meant to be.

We got six wonderful, quality months and I would like to thank Animal Medical Centre in Launceston for their care, most especially Dr Jess Finlay who gave Caesar the best opportunity through clinical care for quality of life.  Caesar grew quite close to Jess and gave his all to her in trust and respect.

In three short years Caesar taught me so much about dogs and inspired me to gain every bit of knowledge I can about the wonderful four-legs.  He has given me the confidence to keep going with all things dog and a superb foundation for raising puppies in the future.

A salute to you, Caesar TD.  You will always be in my heart buddy, with many, many cherished memories.
